How does coaching work?

Every athlete starts with a free 30-minute consult. If we're a fit, I build a fully custom plan delivered week-by-week through TrainingPeaks, with workout reviews, weekly check-ins, and unlimited messaging.

What if I have to travel or get sick?

Plans flex. Send me a heads-up and I'll restructure the week — life happens, and we plan around it. There are no penalties for missed sessions, just smart adjustments.

Do you coach beginners?

Yes. About a third of my athletes are training for their first 5K, sprint triathlon, or century ride. Same physiology, different starting point. The plan meets you where you are.

Question 4

Do I need a power meter / GPS / lab test?

Accepted Answer

Not to start. A GPS watch is enough for the first 4–6 weeks while we establish a baseline. Power meters, lactate testing, and HRV become useful as we progress, but they're never mandatory.
