No athlete has yet published a result on a self-guided training plan, so there are no a self-guided training plan testimonials on this page. The 1:1 coaching reviews elsewhere on this site were earned working directly with a human coach and prove nothing about this product — so they are not shown here. Every plan is the written form of the same progression used with the 1:1 roster: easy work kept genuinely easy, intensity concentrated into a small number of sessions, and volume progressed week over week with a planned down week.
Each plan is the block structure used with coached athletes for that distance, written out session by session rather than generated per athlete.
Sessions are prescribed in zones you set from a recent race or test, so the plan scales to your current fitness rather than an assumed one.
A plan does not adapt when your week falls apart and it does not answer questions. If you need that, it is 1:1 coaching or Apex — not this.
Finish a plan, send the race result with a link, and it goes on this page with your name — the same standard every other review on this site has to meet.
Send your plan resultA plan is a fixed block you execute alone. That is the whole product — and the reason it costs a one-off $35 to $99 instead of $3,250 per year.
From payment to your first session, and what you get if the plan stops fitting.
No subscription, no account to cancel later.
A download link on the confirmation page and in your email, within a minute.
A PDF, a calendar file, and a TrainingPeaks import so it lands in the app you use.
There is no coach attached, no feedback and no replies. That is what keeps it a one-off payment instead of a monthly fee.
Plans are fixed blocks. When your weeks stop fitting one, book a call and we will work out whether Apex or coaching is the right move.
Instantly. The moment your payment clears you land on a success page with your TrainingPeaks plan link and a downloadable PDF, and the same links arrive by email. Nothing is shipped and there is nothing to wait for. The one exception is the Custom Strength Plan, which is built to order after a short intake form.
No. The plans load into a free TrainingPeaks account, which is enough to see every session, follow the workouts day by day, and sync to Garmin, Wahoo, Coros, and Polar. A paid TrainingPeaks Premium account adds extra analytics but is never required.
A plan is a fixed, expertly periodized block you execute on your own — same structure a coached athlete gets, without the individual feedback. Coaching adds a real human rebuilding your week around your life, your data, and your setbacks, plus direct messaging and race-day strategy. If you are self-directed and consistent, a plan is enough. If you need accountability and adjustment, book a call.
Yes. Compress by starting mid-block rather than cutting the taper: drop the earliest base weeks and keep the final build and the full 2–3 week taper intact. If you are unsure where to jump in, email us the race date and we will point you at the right starting week at no charge.
Pick the plan that matches the volume you can honestly sustain today, not the one that matches your goal time. Every session carries pace and heart-rate targets scaled to your own current threshold, so a plan self-adjusts to your fitness. If you are between levels, choose the lower one and add easy volume.
These are digital products delivered immediately, so all sales are final once the plan has been delivered. If the plan you bought is genuinely the wrong fit, contact us within 7 days and we will swap you into a different plan of equal value at no extra cost.
Yes, and you should. Every endurance plan leaves two clear slots for strength work, usually after a quality session so easy days stay easy. The Custom Strength Plan is built specifically to slot around an endurance block without stealing recovery.
Miss up to three days and simply resume where you left off. Miss more than a week and repeat the last completed week before moving on rather than trying to catch up. If life interrupts your training often, Apex adapts the plan for you automatically instead of leaving you to patch it yourself.
Twelve questions, ninety seconds. You get a scored breakdown across aerobic engine, strength, fuelling and recovery — plus the single fix that moves your race day the most.
