Triathlon coach for sprint, Olympic, 70.3 & IRONMAN.

Remote 1:1 triathlon coaching from a Boston-based coach behind 12 Boston qualifications, 18+ podium wins, and athletes racing Kona. Swim, bike, run — built around your week, your data, your race. Coaching in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.

Three disciplines, one coach, one plan.

Swim

Pool sets built around CSS and stroke rate, open-water sighting blocks, race-specific wetsuit work. Endless Pool or your local lane — both work.

Bike

FTP-based zones, race-pace bricks, position and fueling rehearsed at intensity. We coach by power if you have a meter and by HR + RPE if you don't.

Run

Off-the-bike run mechanics first, then threshold and marathon-pace work. Most age-groupers lose 70.3/IM time on the run — we don't.

Why athletes pick this over a generic plan.

  • Plan rebuilt every 4 weeks from what actually happened — not a stock template.
  • Brick workouts progressed off real bike fitness, not a worksheet.
  • Race-day nutrition rehearsed 10+ times before you toe the line.
  • Open-water swim sessions sequenced by race date (and water temp).
  • Direct line to the coach by text, voice, or video — same week, same coach.
  • Free, unlimited replans when life moves your sessions.

Breno took me from a 5K runner to a full Ironman finisher. 5K 16:57, 70.3 in 4:30, and my first full at IRONMAN Arizona in 9:35 at age 39. The plans fit around clinic, the lab, and three kids — nothing was wasted.

Two years with Breno: 26 minutes off my 70.3 and a sub-11 full Ironman. The progression was patient and the workouts were the right ones at the right time.

I finished D2R2 180k — 19 of the 20 climbs are genuinely steep — and I finished it better than I expected. Breno had me ready.

Unparalleled value. Breno builds a methodical plan that actually targets the weaknesses you'd rather not look at — that's why it works.

Running faster. Breno taught me how to actually run easy so I could race faster — and now I'm running both faster and further than I have in years.

Busy parent of three with a full-time job. The flexibility in how Breno builds the week is what makes this sustainable for me — the training fits the life, not the other way around.

Personalized, motivating sessions. Breno meets athletes wherever they are — beginner or experienced — and the work shows up on race day.

A comprehensive, easy-to-follow plan that works for people with busy lives. Nothing feels arbitrary — every session has a reason.

Evidence is graded, not blended. A verified result is a named athlete with a measurable outcome and an external result link. A named result has the outcome but no public link. An athlete comment is opinion with no measured outcome, and is shown at lower weight on purpose.

Triathlon coaching FAQ

Do you coach triathletes remotely?

Yes — 90% of athletes I coach are online. Plans are delivered weekly through TrainingPeaks (or Coached, the in-house app). Workouts auto-sync to Garmin / Wahoo / Zwift. Check-ins happen by message, voice, or weekly Zoom — your call.

I'm new to triathlon. Is this for me?

Yes. The Aurora Starter tier is built for first-time triathletes — sprint or Olympic — who need someone to teach the disciplines, the gear, and the race day. We coach from your first open-water swim through your first podium.

Can I get coached for an IRONMAN?

Yes. The Phoenix and ThunderBird tiers handle 70.3 and full IRONMAN builds. Pricing is $350 (Phoenix) or $750 (ThunderBird, capped at 4 athletes). 24-week periodized builds, nutrition rehearsed, brick workouts progressed, race plan locked in by week 20.

What if I don't have a power meter?

Doesn't matter. We coach by heart rate and rate of perceived exertion when needed. Power meters help but they're a multiplier, not a prerequisite.

What does triathlon coaching cost?

Three tiers: Aurora ($250/mo · 4-week structure), Phoenix ($350/mo · weekly check-ins, most chosen), ThunderBird ($750/mo · 4 athletes max, includes race-week support and recovery protocols). Free 30-minute discovery call to figure out which fits.

Can you coach me in Spanish or Portuguese?

Yes — I coach fluently in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Plans, check-ins, and Zoom calls can happen in any of the three.
